J. Solomon was born to African-American parents in Greensboro, NC, and spent much of his upbringing in the Dominican Republic until 2015. His passion for music began in 2012 at the age of 15, inspired by artists like Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Marcus Cole, Tupac, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, JayDaYoungan, Mo3, and Anthony Hamilton.
Starting his rap journey at 18, J. Solomon began taking his craft seriously at 24. Driven by a desire to prove his worth and demonstrate his talent, he has committed himself to his musical passion, striving to show that he is more than what others have told him.
